Parmigiani presents from the 21st till the 29th January 2012, the 34th Festival International de Ballons in Château-d’Oex.
On the occasion of the 34th International Ballooning Festival, more than 80 hot-air balloons from 18 countries meet in the sky above Château-d’Oex. Hot-air balloons provide a colourful spectacle for 9 full days, featuring special shapes and air shows on weekends. Wednesday afternoon is reserved exclusively for children’s activities, with captive balloon flights and various other activities. Friday, 27 January, at 6.45 p.m.: Night Glow Show – a son et lumière show.

40th Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta (USA)

This year will mark the 40th time that the Balloon Fiesta has filled Albuquerque’s crystal blue skies. The Balloon Fiesta is still the premier international ballooning event, powered by the perfect October climate and a phenomenon called the “Albuquerque Box,” (a combination of weather patterns and geographic landscape, the box allows balloonists to control and even retrace their adventure).

The place to be in October is at Balloon Fiesta Park. The 200 acres of grass and booths will be filled with balloons and vendors selling everything from traditional New Mexican food to Balloon memorabilia. Each year balloon teams from around the world participate in the event and news coverage originates from more than 50 countries. It has become the most photographed event in the world.

Le 24e Festival de montgolfières de Gatineau promet une autre édition des plus éclatantes du 2 au 5 septembre 2011. Les nombreuses montgolfières, dont plusieurs de formes spéciales, les multiples spectacles et l’animation totalisant plus de 60 heures de programmation continue donnent le ton à cet événement d’envergure qui reçoit annuellement plus de 200 000 visites! Riche de plus de 20 ans d’existence, c’est l’occasion idéale de vous réunir au parc de la Baie en famille et entre amis pendant la fin de semaine de la fête du Travail!

12th edition of LORRAINE MONDIAL AIR BALLONS (LMAB) from July 22^nd to 31^st

The biggest and the most international hot-air balloons gathering in the world takes place in Chambley Planet’ Air aerodrome (Meurthe&Moselle – Lorraine) every other year, during ten days between July and August.

The goal is to gather a thousand hot-air balloons coming from 67 nations. And to invite visitors, media and partners. The first edition took place in 1989. It’s an atypical and original creation, leisure and tourism platform, sport event, air show and cultural discovery in the same time ; held for the twelfth time in twenty two years.

5th Montgolfiades – Geneva International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta

Du 8 au 10 avril, Genève Tourisme & Congrès organise les 5es Montgolfiades internationales de Genève. Cette manifestation internationale de ballons à air chaud rassemble 30 équipages de pilotes en provenance de 9 pays (Suède, Grande-Bretagne, Belgique, Luxembourg, Allemagne, Italie, Espagne, France et Suisse). Les Montgolfiades de Genève ont été créées en 2004 par le Département des Manifestations de Genève Tourisme & Congrès.

9 Aout 2010 - La terreur des maringouins à l’international de montgolfières …

Mercredi midi, l’équipe de la «LadyJoker » va prendre l’avion pour le Québec.

Pour la première fois, une montgolfière française de forme spéciale fera la traversée de l’atlantique pour participer aux belles envolées dans le ciel de Saint-Jean sur Richelieu.

En provenance de la ville de Nantes, ville de naissance de Jules Verne (http://www.nantes.fr/julesverne ), l’équipe du ballon « LadyJoker » se fait une joie de rencontrer ses cousins du Québec. Cette montgolfière unique a été entièrement pensée, conçue par les membres de l’association Cieldeloire. Au total, il aura fallu près de trois ans à l’équipe pour réaliser son rêve : d’abord une maquette de 1m3, puis un ballon radiocommandé de 28m3, avant la réalisation de la montgolfière finale de 3800 m3.

La « LadyJoker » ressemble à la fois à une coccinelle géante et à un Joker avec un sourire malicieux, elle a fait son premier vol en France le 4 juillet 2009 et depuis est allée aux championnats d’Europe de montgolfières, à Albuquerque au Nouveau-Mexique et en Suisse à Château d’Oex. Le but de l’équipe Cieldeloire est de participer aux plus importants rassemblements de montgolfières à travers le monde et de faire partager au public la joie de voir s’envoler ce ballon.

Cette année, la montgolfière est invitée aux deux plus importants meetings du Québec et retournera en Octobre à Albuquerque, l’année 2011 promet également de nouveaux voyages extraordinaires à l’image des romans de Jules Verne.

20 juillet 2010 – Ladyjoker va traverser l’atlantique pour rejoindre ses cousins du Québec !

 

Nous serons les invités des deux plus importants meeting du Québec au cours de l’été.

L’international de montgolfières de Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu

sera le premier, du 14 au 22 Aout, c’est un grand meeting avec 16 formes spéciales, c’est non seulement le plus important rassemblement de ballons au Canada, mais aussi un événement familial d’envergure. Avec près de 400 000 visiteurs par année, la popularité de l’événement n’a cessée d’augmenter au fil des ans et repose sur une stratégie qui regroupe trois éléments essentiels : la féerie des envolées de montgolfières Banque Laurentienne et des Nuits magiques Banque Laurentienne, l’animation gratuite pour toute la famille et les spectacles majeurs tous les soirs. Au programme, 115 montgolfières dont de nombreuses formes spéciales, des spectacles grandioses et un immense terrain accueillant une variété incroyable d’activités d’animation.

La 23e édition du Festival de montgolfières de Gatineau, qui promet d’être mémorable, se déroulera du 3 au 6 septembre 2010. SUPER FMG sera pour l’occasion entouré de 14 de ses amis de forme spéciale.

From the 23 to January 31, 2010, Château-d’Oex will host the 32th edition of the International hot air balloon festival. “LadyJoker” has been invited, pilot will be Nicolas LE FRANC.

« LadyJoker » cross over the Atlantic Ocean…

For her first international trip, “LadyJoker” is going to visit the most important balloon meeting in the world, the international balloon fiesta at Albuquerque in New Mexico. This town is known as the balloon capital of the world with most of 600 balloons during the first week of October.
This year is the 38th edition.

“LadyJoker”, build this year by Kubicek in Europe is the only special shape coming from France. A special shape balloon can be for example a cow, a train, a sun, a motorbike or something than you can imagine in your dream. These balloons are flying like normal balloon but with many crews due the complexity to inflate and deflate the envelope.

“LadyJoker” has been ordered by a non profit organization, named “Cieldeloire”, this team has worked hundreds hours to design the shape, build a rc model and made specifications.

The particularity of this balloon is not attached with any sponsor, come from the imagination of Cieldeloire team, is the terror of road runners!

Result of this project is the tallest special shape in France with near 4000 cubic meters, weight of 210 Kgs, 4 arms, two legs and a head of 400 Cu meters with two antennas.

Team “LadyJoker” is composed with primary pilot, Philippe LUSLEY , secondary pilot Nicolas LE FRANC, Navigator Frederic CHEREAU, crew chief Yves GOBIN with is wife Patricia.

Pilots have 25 years experience of ballooning all over the world in Europe, Africa, US and Brasil, are also instructors and homebuilders.

All the team is ready to have fun and enjoy people during the week.
